With nearly two decades of experience, Berna Onat has built a career connecting people to art, science, and culture. As a museum engagement practitioner and art consultant, she designs public programs and digital experiences that make complex ideas accessible and inspiring. Drawing on her MFA in Human-Centered Design from ArtCenter College of Design, Berna translates research and co-design practices into engaging, inclusive learning opportunities for diverse audiences.

She has led programs at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Kidspace Museum, and beyond—developing initiatives that range from lectures and festivals to interactive installations and grant-funded projects. In 2021, she founded Voice Within Art Consultancy, collaborating with artists and institutions to create art and learning programs that foster dialogue, community engagement, and belonging.
