With nearly two decades of experience, Berna Onat has built a career connecting people to natural science, art and culture. As a museum engagement practitioner and art consultant, she designs public programs and experiences that make complex ideas accessible and inspiring. Drawing on her MFA in Human-Centered Research from ArtCenter College of Design, Berna translates research and co-design practices into engaging, inclusive learning opportunities for diverse audiences.

Her work spans institutions such as the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, LACMA, and Kidspace Children’s Museum, where she has coordinated and managed initiatives ranging from lectures and festivals to interactive installations and grant-funded projects. In 2021, she founded Voice Within Art Consultancy, partnering with artists and cultural institutions to develop art and learning programs that foster dialogue, community engagement, and a sense of belonging.
